Concrete plans for autumn break

Autumn break at Proviant comes with concrete plans. We are preparing to pour the brewery’s concrete base, followed by the finishing layer that will form the floor’s slope. Thanks to everyone who stops by for a chat about the project.

Concrete plans for autumn break
Preparing to pour the brewery’s concrete base. Our take on an active autumn break.

A break on solid ground

Some people use autumn break to slow down. We have spent ours working on something solid to stand on.

The brewery floor is on the agenda, and this time we are pouring concrete rather than beer.

In the photo, we are getting ready to pour the concrete base inside the container. Another step from a big metal box to a small brewery.

First the base, then the finish

The floor will take shape in two stages. First comes the concrete base, followed by the finishing layer, where we will also form the floor’s slope.

So yes, we are deliberately building a floor that is not entirely level. That is our explanation, and we are sticking to it.

It may not get quite as much attention as shiny tanks and golden beer, but we are still very much looking forward to having the floor in place.

Thanks for stopping by

One of the nicest parts of the build is everyone who stops by to ask what we are up to.

Thank you for the curiosity and the conversations. It means a lot to share the project with you — even while it looks more like a building site than a brewery.

Our autumn break may not have been relaxing. But at least our plans were concrete.
